How do I know if Full-Service or À La Carte is right for me?
Full-Service is usually best if:
Flowers are a major priority in your overall design.
You want ceremony installations, hanging pieces, or large-scale designs.
You prefer us to handle everything on-site: delivery, setup, moving pieces between spaces, and teardown.
À La Carte is usually best if:
You want key floral pieces (bouquets, personals, a few arrangements) without a full-scale installation.
You’re comfortable having your planner, coordinator, or friends place centerpieces and small arrangements.
You’re working with a more modest floral budget and want a straightforward ordering process.
If you’re unsure, we’re happy to chat through your guest count, venue, and vision and point you toward the best fit.
1. Services & Packages
What does your booking process look like?
For Full-Service weddings:
Inquiry Form – You submit your date, venue, and a few details about your vision and budget.
Consultation – We meet via phone or video to get to know you, review inspiration, and talk through options.
Custom Proposal – We send a detailed proposal and estimate outlining your floral plan.
Retainer & Contract – To reserve your date, you sign our contract and pay a non-refundable retainer.
Design Refinement – As your day approaches, we refine details, confirm numbers, and finalize the timeline with your planner.
For À La Carte weddings:
A La Carte Inquiry/Order Form – You share your date, color palette, and the items you need.
Estimate & Confirmation – We send a simple estimate; once approved, we send an invoice and basic terms.
Payment & Final Details – You submit payment and confirm quantities and pickup/delivery details. No in-depth design meetings or site visits are needed—this keeps the process streamlined and budget-friendly.
Yes, we serve Northern Colorado and parts of Wyoming and are happy to travel to surrounding locations. Travel fees are based on distance, time, and whether lodging or additional staffing is needed.
If your venue is outside our usual radius, reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
6. Logistics & Travel
Do you travel to our venue?
For Full-Service weddings, we can often repurpose ceremony flowers for the reception (for example, moving aisle arrangements to the head table). We’ll plan this into your timeline and staffing needs.
For À La Carte, any moving or repurposing of arrangements is typically handled by your planner, coordinator, or trusted friends.
Will you move flowers from the ceremony to the reception?

5. À La Carte Wedding Florals
Yes!
Pickup:
You can pick up your À La Carte order from our studio at a scheduled time. We’ll make sure pieces are labeled and packed for safe transport.
Delivery:
We do offer delivery for À La Carte orders for an additional delivery fee. The delivery fee is based on distance, order size, and venue access. Delivery includes dropping florals off at a designated location, but does not include full on-site setup or event styling (unless you upgrade to Full-Service or add an installation service).
Can À La Carte orders be picked up or delivered?
We’ll confirm your pickup or delivery window as we get closer to your date, typically:
Pickup: Late morning or early afternoon on the wedding day (or occasionally the day before if storage conditions are appropriate).
Delivery: Timed so that personal flowers arrive before photos and ceremony pieces are in place before guests arrive.
We’ll coordinate specific timing with you and/or your planner.
What time will our flowers be ready for pickup or delivered?
How should we transport and care for pickup flowers?
We’ll package your flowers for safe travel, but you can help by:
Clearing space in your vehicle (ideally air-conditioned, not a hot trunk)
Laying arrangements flat & securing boxes so they don’t slide
Keeping flowers in a cool, shaded place once you arrive at your getting-ready location or venue
We’ll include simple care instructions with your order.
What happens to the flowers and rentals after the event?
We have no idea what we want yet—can you help?
Absolutely. You don’t need to have all the floral language or exact blooms figured out. Bring us:
A general color palette
A few inspiration photos
Your venue and approximate guest count
A sense of what’s most important to you
From there, we’ll guide you toward either Full-Service or À La Carte and craft a floral plan that fits your day, budget, and style.
Flowers: The flowers themselves are yours to enjoy or share with guests.
Vases/Rentals: Any rental items (vessels, stands, arches, candles, etc.) remain the property of Rue + Pear and will be collected during teardown or at an agreed-upon time.
If you’d like to gift arrangements to guests with the vessels, we can plan a buy-out option for certain pieces.

Yes. For Full-Service weddings, we:
Deliver your flowers to the agreed-upon locations
Set up and style florals on-site (ceremony arch, reception tables, etc.)
Return for teardown/strike of floral mechanics and rentals per your contract
This ensures your florals look exactly as planned and that you, your family, and your friends don’t have to worry about logistics.
Where do you source your flowers?
We source from a mix of:
The majority of our flowers come straight from our flower farm! We also purchase from other local growers and regional flower farms when seasonally available.
Trusted wholesalers for specialty and off-season blooms
This blend allows us to honor seasonality while still giving you the variety and quality you’re dreaming of.
3. Design & Flowers
How does pricing work?

Payment structure generally looks like:
Non-refundable retainer to reserve your date
Remaining balance due by a set date before your wedding (for example, 30 days prior)
Exact terms will be outlined in your proposal and contract.
What forms of payment do you accept and how is payment scheduled?
Yes—within reason and within the timeline:
Major changes (guest count shifts, big installation additions/removals) are typically finalized several weeks before your wedding.
Minor adjustments (a boutonniere here, a bud vase there) may be possible closer to the date, depending on our order deadlines.
We’ll clearly communicate your “last day for changes” so everything can be ordered and designed smoothly.
Can we make changes after booking?
Because we reserve your date, turn away other work, and begin planning and ordering in advance, retainers are non-refundable.
If you need to cancel or reschedule:
Cancellation: Any non-refundable payments/retainers outlined in your contract are retained.
Reschedule: We’ll do our best to move your date if we’re available; additional fees may apply if costs or flower prices have changed.
Full terms will be spelled out in your contract so there are no surprises.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Pricing is based on:
The types and number of arrangements
The complexity and scale of designs (especially installations)
The season and types of flowers requested
Delivery, setup, staffing, and teardown needs
We’ll provide a detailed estimate so you can see how the investment is allocated (flowers, labor, rentals, service fees, etc.), similar to how other professional florists structure their proposals.
